Platform Food seems to be a cross between a chip shop, sandwich bar and cafe. Atmosphere is dim and drab. The strong red decor doesn't work in such a small eatery which gets no natural light as it's located inside Great Northern Mall.
Service was poor. The staff didn't bother to give me cutlery or a napkin when they left my food down to my table. I had to look about for and then go up to the counter to get these myself.
I had a mushy, greasy, tasteless vegetable burger in a bun. Even with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, ketchup and salt on it I could only eat half as it was so unappetising. As I was in a rush I didn't have time to complain. However neither did staff bother to ask me if everything was okay with my food.
Cost was circa £5 for said burger and a bottle of water. Maybe they were having an off day, nonetheless I will not return nor recommend this place to others. Not a pleasant experience.
